100,000 strong…and 15 practices I swear by
I’m so excited to share that I recently reached 100,000 on LinkedIn.
Which means we are now a community of 100,000 strong.
I paused before writing this.
Because milestones are strange things.
They look like numbers.
But they carry meaning.
This one feels less like a personal win…
and more like a quiet reminder that:
100,000 of you are in conversation with these ideas.
Ideas about living and leading consciously.
About doing the inner work that shapes how we show up on the outside.
About building a more thoughtful, compassionate world.
And if I had to distill everything I’ve learned, practiced, unlearned – and continue to come back to…
It would look something like this:
15 practices I swear by (for conscious living & leadership)
1. Come back to yourself – often
In a noisy world, your clarity comes from within. Create moments of stillness.
2. Build self-trust before seeking validation
The more you rely on your own voice, the less you need permission from others.
3. Keep a “proof of self” file
Document your wins, courage, and growth. Your mind forgets – this helps you remember.
4. Choose values over approval
Alignment creates a deeper kind of confidence than applause ever will.
5. Take action before you feel ready
Confidence is built in motion, not in waiting.
6. Redefine what you admire
Be more impressed by integrity, kindness, and empathy than by status or success.
7. Shift from performing to contributing
Ask: What value am I creating? not How am I being perceived?
8. Hold high expectations – with high support
For yourself and for others. Growth needs both.
9. Let go of control where it isn’t needed
Not everything needs your intervention. Trust creates space for growth.
10. And take responsibility where it is
You can’t control everything, but you can always choose how you show up.
11. Reframe rejection
It’s rarely personal. Often, it’s just misalignment or timing.
12. Notice your conditioning
Especially as women, we’re taught to seek permission. Awareness is the first step to breaking that pattern.
13. Make space for other voices
True leadership isn’t about being heard the most. It’s about ensuring others are heard too.
14. Practice self-compassion, not self-criticism
You grow faster in environments that feel safe – even the one within you.
15. Come back to intention
At the end of the day, ask: Was I aligned with who I want to be?
None of this is theory for me.
It’s practice.
Some days I get it right.
Some days I don’t.
But I keep coming back.
Because I’ve seen this to be true, over and over again:
The quality of your life and leadership is shaped by the small choices you make every day.
If you’re here – whether you’ve been reading for years or this is your first email…
Thank you for being part of this conversation.
And I’d love to ask you:
Which one of these are you choosing to practice more consciously right now?
Invitation: Join Our Next Focus Group (Limited Spots)
We’re opening up a few intimate spaces over the next couple weeks to have real, unfiltered conversations with women from our community. We’ll explore:
- Where you’re in your career right now
- What’s feeling hard or unclear
- Where do you need more support
You’ll walk away with:
- A powerful hour guided by me personally to help you pause, reflect and get clarity on your own goals.
- A room full of women who get it – because they have lived it.
- The opportunity to directly shape what we build at Shenomics next – a new learning experience designed for women like you, launching later this year.
No preparation needed. Just show up as you are.
We’re keeping this intentionally small – only 10 women per session, on a first-come, first-served basis.
