Dear Friend,
Have you ever wondered why we call “The Comfort Zone” the comfort zone?
Is there really any comfort inside the comfort zone?
The way I see it, the choice is never between comfort and discomfort.
Either way, there is discomfort.
The choice is in deciding which flavor of discomfort you are willing to live with more.
You either choose the discomfort of a grueling workout at the gym
OR you choose the discomfort of feeling unhealthy.
You either choose the discomfort of saying No to someone
OR you choose the discomfort of saying yes, but experiencing resentment later.
You either choose the discomfort of doing many repetitive and boring things on your road to success
OR you choose the discomfort of pondering over questions like
What if I had…
I wish I had…
I should have…
I could have…
Either way, there is discomfort. The difference is…
The discomfort inside your “comfort zone” will most likely lead to regret and unhappiness.
Whereas, the discomfort outside your comfort zone may lead to your progress, growth and even fulfillment.
You get to choose which form of discomfort is more meaningful to you.
And the good news is: as Victor Frankl said, “suffering ceases to be suffering the moment it finds a meaning.”
So, which form of discomfort will you choose?
The one inside your “comfort zone”?
Or, the one outside your “comfort zone”?
Choose consciously.
Choose wisely.
HERE IS MY INVITATION to you to choose the kind of discomfort that leads to you tapping into your highest potential, and experiencing unimagined joy, meaning and fulfilment.
