Dear Friend,

At what stage of its life does a FLOWER become PERFECT?

🌼 Is it perfect when it is just a seed?
Full of seemingly endless possibilities for how it could spring forth.

🌼 Is it perfect when it just breaks through the soil?
As it begins to show promise of what it could be.

🌼 Is it perfect as a bud?
Gentle and delicate, and
on the verge of blossoming.

🌼 Is it perfect when in full bloom?
Showing the world all of its magnificence.

🌼 Or, is it perfect when it is reaching its humble end?
And returning to the same soil from which it came.

I think you already know what the answer is.
It is perfect at every stage of its journey.

A flower is a specimen of nature,
and everything in nature is exactly as it is intended to be.
There are no imperfections.

You, too, are a part of nature.
But, we forget.

And then go through life thinking there is some end point of perfection
that we must arrive at
before we can accept ourselves for who we are
before we can be happy
before we can rest

And so, we keep yearning for
✨More success
✨A bigger house
✨A fitter body
✨More followers
✨More money

And when we get any of it, we change the goal-post
and strive for ever more.
Because perfection is always in the next moment,
or the moment after that.
But never here.

But what if, like the flower,
there is perfection in every phase of your journey,
and you are exactly where you need to be?

What if you were to fall in love with every moment of your journey;
how might the experience of your life change?

May you be well.
May you be happy.
May you be at peace.

Warmly,
